Hey Puddin! Todd Phillips and Lady Gaga both shared an image of the Bad Romance singer as Harley Quinn on Instagram to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
The photo sees Gaga as the beloved DC character embracing Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker after a kiss – perhaps a scene fans will see for themselves when Joker: Folie à Deux hits theaters.
Gaga first announced her role as Harley Quinn in August 2022. The announcement came in a clip that showed a silhouette of Harley dancing with the titular character.
Joker: Folie à Deux will be directed by Phillips, who also helmed the first Joker movie. This movie reunites the director and the singer-actress after working together on A Star Is Born. Filming for the Joker sequel is reportedly underway. It is also said to be a musical this time around.
Joker: Folie à Deux is Gaga’s third big leading role after starring in House of Gucci and A Star Is Born, as well as appearing in 15 episodes of American Horror Story.
Joker: Folie à Deux is set to release on 4 October 2024.
