Superman And Lois Is Being Ordered To Series At The CW

Ever heard of the saying ‘when one door closes, another opens’? Well, that’s happening over at The CW. The Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths is concluding real soon and whilst fans sit tight and welcome back the likes of Flash, Supergirl and Batwoman, CW is fast-tracking Superman and Lois and giving it a series order.

Superman And Lois

The series will follow Clark Kent and Lois Lane juggling their busy adventurous lives and parenthood. Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will be portraying the Man of Steel and Lois in this series. Hoechlin first appeared as Superman on Supergirl followed by The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow. Tulloch, on the other hand, has previously appeared on Supergirl and The Flash. Both actors then reprised their roles on the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover.

Superman And Lois

This Superman And Lois spin-off will not only bring back the beloved Man of Steel back to TV screens everywhere but will also help usher in the new Arrowverse direction.

The pilot episode of Superman and Lois will be written and executive-produced by The Flash showrunner Todd Helbing. Arrow-verse mastermind Greg Berlanti, along with Sarah Schecter and DC Comics writer Geoff Johns will also serve as executive producers.

With Superman and Lois on the way, the network is also planning a female-centric spin-off featuring fan-favourite heroines including Mia Smoak, Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake. Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy will all be reprising their respective roles.

Superman and Lois hasn’t been given a premiere date yet and more details about the series can be expected later in the spring.
