Superman & Lois TV Series To Join The Arrowverse

When one door closes, another opens. As fans brace themselves for the series finale of Arrow as well as the massive crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths, CW is already working on expanding the franchise further starting with Superman and Lois.

Reported by Deadline, Superman & Lois is the latest project within the Arrowverse. Starring Supergirl‘s Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as Superman and Lois Lane respectively, the show is said to focus on the “stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society”.

While Hoechlin has been a part of the CW Arrowverse since 2016 appearing in Supergirl, Tulloch is a relatively recent addition to the illustrious cast, appearing only last year in the Elseworlds crossover.

Flash showrunner Todd Helbing is set to write and executive produce the hour-long TV series alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns.

This isn’t the only project from CW in the works. The network is planning a female-centric spin-off will focus on some of the fan-favourite heroes including Mia Smoak, Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake. Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy will all be reprising their respective roles.
