As Spider-Man: No Way Home gets ever closer to release, we finally get a full idea of what to expect in the highly-anticipated sequel.
With the latest drop, we now have even more to unpack.
In this trailer, we see a bit more of the fight between Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) on the bridge, and Doc Ock saying “You’re not Peter Parker” upon seeing Holland’s face. Not only that, Electro, Sandman, the Lizard, and Green Goblin are revealed too. These are all villains that appeared in the previous generations of Spider-Man films.
It seems like Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s appearances in the film are further teased, as Doc Ock’s comment and the many villains make it clear that there are some multiverse crossover shenanigans going on. Also, Doctor Strange stating that “There are others out there, we need to send them back” can be interpreted as a reference to Maguire and Garfield. Given all the hints so far, fans will be disappointed if all three generations of Spider-Man don’t share a scene at some point.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in theatres on 17 December 2021.
