Cat Quest III sets sail for the Purribean, with a new game trailer debuting at the Nintendo Indie World Showcase. While cats aren’t too fond of water, they look adorable on a ship doing battle against the pi-rats.
Singaporean indie game studio The Gentlebros is behind the adorable cat-themed game, which is an open-world RPG that was first released in 2017, and a second game was released soon after. The trailer shows off even more gameplay and ship combat, ending with a release date reveal. Local co-op is also an added bonus, and you can grab a friend and take on the pi-rats together.
The game’s synopsis reads:
Embark on your 2.5-d adventure as a swashbuckling purrivateer alongside your trusty spirit companion. Battle through varied dungeons and biomes, and locate treasures galore whilst defeating mischiefs of pi-rats! But beware… the seas are perilous, and the Pirate King might just be on your tail!
Cat Quest III releases on 8 August 2024, which is also International Cat Day for more feline shenanigans, but a demo is currently available to play on the Nintendo Switch.
