Shoot Hoops With These Nerf x Reebok Retro Basketball Sneakers Collection

Reebok is once again coming back with another collaboration. With sneaker collections themed after Kung Fu Panda, Ghostbusters, and even Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the footwear and clothing company is certainly no stranger to tie-ups.

This time, Reebok will be working hand-in-hand with Hasbro to present a nostalgic basketball collaboration rooted in hoop dreams: the NERF x Reebok Retro Basketball Collection.

This collection will consist of four retro model sneakers featuring colourful reiterations of Reebok’s Pump Omni Zone II, Kamikaze II  and Kamikaze II Low. Limited quantities will be available on 24 June exclusively for Reebok UNLOCKED members and on Hasbro Pulse US, before having a wider global release on 25 June.

Nerf and Reebok share a long history of empowering hoop dreamers all around the world. Due to Nerf port Nerfoop and Reebok, generations of basketball fans have grown up recreating the excitement of the sport they love.

The NERF x Reebok Pump Omni Zone II (US$160) is offered in two vibrant colourways – Light Jammer and Big Bad Backboard. The Light Jammer has a glow-in-the-dark upper and outsole as well as a retro light-up Nerf Sports Nerfoop design. Graphic splatter print on the vamp and collar is inspired by the Nerf line of products. Additionally, custom graphic sock liner and packaging is also inspired by the legendary Nerfoop.

As for the Big Bad Backboard, although its colour and aesthetic have been inspired by the NERF Sports Nerfoop  ‘90s Big Bad Backboard, the overall design is similar to the Light Jammer.

Further exploring the fond ‘90s aesthetic and aspirational language shared by Reebok, Nerf, and hoopers of all ages, the NERF x Reebok Kamikaze II and Kamikaze II Low (US$110) pay homage to one of the most explosive dunkers of all time, Shawn Kemp.

The NERF x Reebok Kamikaze II is available for both adult and grade-school student at the prices of US$130 and US$100 respectively. Executed fully with an asymmetrical design, the shoe has the Nerf logo embroidered on the forefoot with splatter graphic on the eye-stays and heel. The custom graphic sock liner illustration and packaging is also inspired by Shawn Kemp, and the legendary NERF Sports Nerfoop Big Bad Backboard (adult style only). The Kamikaze II Low “Backboard Breaker” is almost identical in design to the Kamikaze II, but with a more streamlined low-cut to it.

Whether you’re a basketball fan or just like the 90’s aesthetic, this upcoming collection by Reebok and NERF is certainly one to not miss at all.
