Seagate Launches PS5-Compatible FireCuda 530 Gen4 NVMe SSD With Sizes Up To 4TB

Delivering sequential read speeds of up to 7,300 MB/s, Seagate’s new FireCuda 530 catalyzes PCIe Gen4 power with transfer rates up to two times faster than PCIe Gen3 SSDs and 12 times faster than SATA-based SSDs. The drive is built with a Seagate-validated E18 controller and the latest 3D TLC NAND to provide the most advanced speed and durability for PC gaming.

The FireCuda 530 with heatsink is compatible with the PlayStation 5 console, and meets PS5 specs on performance and dimensions. The built-in heatsink makes for an instant drop-in expansion solution with no additional parts needed.

The FireCuda 530 is available now for S$199 (500GB), S$349 (1TB), S$729 (2TB) and S$1,399 (4TB). To celebrate the launch in Singapore, the FireCuda 530 will be offered for S$189 (500GB), S$339 (1TB), S$699 (2TB) and S$1,369 (4TB) until 30 September 2021.  Check them out on Shopee and Lazada.

With the M.2 slot on the PlayStation 5 unlocked for beta users last month, we should be expecting the final firmware release very soon. So if you are already planning on upgrading your PS5’s limited internal SSD storage space, you can now buy one on Lazada or Shopee ahead of time. The only question is what size: 2TB or all-out 4TB?
