‘Scream 7’ Trailer Pits Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott Against Ghostface Once More

Scream 7 has finally dropped its first trailer, and it’s one that’s worth the wait, as it marks the return of the franchise’s iconic final girl, Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott, who appeared in every series entry except 2023’s Scream VI.

Directed by Kevin Williamson, scriptwriter for the original 1996 movie, Scream 2 (1997) and Scream 4 (2011), the seventh instalment will follow Prescott’s storyline as a mom, with the trailer pitting Ghostface against both her and her daughter, Tatum (Isabel May), a name seemingly given to honour her friend Tatum, played by Rose McGowan in the original 1996 film, who was murdered by Ghostface.

Other returning faces include Matthew Lillard’s Stu Macher, Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis, Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown as siblings Chad and Mindy, alongside Scott Foley’s Roman Bridger, who was Scream 3‘s Ghostface.
