Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection Launches Free On Epic Games Store

If you are into fighting games, then surely you know of the classic series that is Samurai Shodown. In just a few weeks’ time, the series will be getting its own retro collection with the Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection. While it will be launching on Steam (18 June) as well as for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch (28 July), it will be coming to the Epic Games Store on 11 June first for free.

Yes, you read it right. From 11 June to 18 June 11 PM (GMT+8), you can claim the Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection on the Epic Games Store for nothing.

Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection brings together the first five Samurai Shodown games, in addition to Samurai Shodown V Special, and the never-before-released Samurai Shodown V Perfect. Samurai Shodown V Perfect contains the same gameplay as Special, but it does have a new story and ending.

The collection will also feature a museum that contains goodies like art, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and even professional match videos. For those more musically inclined, the included player has a tracklist featuring over 200 songs.

The more recent Samurai Shodown will also launch on the Epic Games Store on 11 June. It first made its debut in June 2019 for the PS4 and Xbox One, before moving to Google Stadia and the Nintendo Switch.
