Samsung Galaxy Ring Brings Finger-Fitting Health & Sleep Tracking To Singapore For S$538

Last July, Samsung took the world by storm with their own take on the One Ring to rule them all. It wasn’t Middle-earth the Korean giant set their sights on but the health and wellness experience, which it seeks to enhance through a small, unconventional piece of smart technology.

Six months after its initial announcement and launch, the Samsung Galaxy Ring has made its way to Singapore. The accessory is now retailing for S$538, comparable to its US$399.99 price tag in the US, with handy features like sleep and menstrual cycle tracking, heart rate monitoring, and exercise detection shrunk to one’s finger.

“Singaporeans are increasingly more aware of their overall health and wellbeing. Samsung Galaxy Ring can be the ultimate daily companion in monitoring and providing closer understanding of our well-being such as sleep and activity levels. Powered by Galaxy AI, Samsung Galaxy Ring offers simplified and comprehensive wellness tracking experience, which also provides more actionable insights when paired with a Samsung smartphone,” said Ronnie Ng, Head of Mobile eXperience, Samsung Singapore.

Coming in eleven sizing options (size 5 to 15), it weighs between 2.3 to three grams and presents a viable alternative for users who aren’t fond of wearing smartwatches to bed. All three existing colours, Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Silver, will also be available.

Other notable features include a seven-day battery life and an IP68 waterproof rating, offering protection against dust and up to 1.5 metres of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. Despite its standalone functionality, the wearable can be paired with a smartwatch, resulting in longer-than-average use, as the latter will become the primary tracker and offload some of the battery drain.

The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Ring in Singapore was announced as part of the company’s latest Galaxy Unpacked event. Unlike the previous iteration, the Galaxy S25 series was the sole highlight for this year, with no visibility on whether any of the company’s existing wearable lineup will get a refresh soon.

Fortunately, more smart ring offerings have been confirmed, including app updates such as Sleep Environment Report, Sleep Time Guidance, and Mindfulness Tracker. Singapore is one of its 15 newest markets, joining Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, and Taiwan as the Asian representatives. By the end of February, the list will add up to 52 countries and territories.

The Samsung Galaxy Ring is available on the company’s website at the retail price of S$538. As for the new features, here’s a better idea of what to expect (per the official description):

  • Sleep Environment Report:  Together with SmartThings, Samsung Health analyses your sleep environment, assessing factors such as temperature, humidity, air quality, and light intensity in the room. Advises users on how to optimise the conditions of their surroundings in the morning, and allows them to leverage SmartThings to automatically adjust room settings to create the ideal sleep environment when you fall asleep, conveniently supporting a restful night’s sleep.
  • Sleep Time Guidance: Suggests optimal bedtime tailored to unique sleep patterns, habits, and conditions. Going beyond sleep analysis, Samsung Health provides actionable insights for better sleep, recommending the most suitable sleep times based on a combination of your sleep quality and daily routines.
  • Mindfulness Tracker: Empowers you to improve your mental health and achieve a better night’s sleep. You can monitor your moods and follow Samsung Health’s guides for breathing exercises and meditations, all easily accessible within a single tracker.
