‘Rurouni Kenshin: The Final’ To Stream On Netflix 18 June

After the theatrical release of Rurouni Kenshin: The Final in Japan, fans around the world have been anticipating when we’ll get our chance to catch the first part of its final chapter. Today, Netflix has officially listed the movie on its platform and it will release across the US and Asia on 18 June.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Final is the first part of the final chapter of the entire live-action film series based on Nobuhiro Watsuki’s manga, and revolves around Kenshin and his fight against Yukishiro Enishi. The second chapter, Rurouni Kenshi: The Beginning is a prequel to the entire series itself.

The Rurouni Kenshin live-action series is considered one of the few rare films that didn’t fall into the zone of failed manga adaptations.

Both The Final and The Beginning have already opened in theatres in Japan and have taken the top box office spots, so international fans of the manga or the films can rest at ease that these two films should be a welcomed conclusion of the series.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Final will stream on Netflix on 18 June, while Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning still has yet to receive a release date.
