According to some rumours, we may be looking at even more adventures for Italian plumber extraordinaire, Mario, and his crew in celebration of the series’ upcoming 35th birthday.
This will include remasters of the Super Mario. Bros. series, as well as new titles from Nintendo. The source also states that these games will be unveiled alongside more information about the Super Nintendo World theme park, and the Super Mario movie in the works with Universal Studios.
Originally slated for an E3 blowout, the cancellation of the convention has put a delay in plans due to COVID-19/coronavirus.
No specific games were mentioned for the remasters, however, a new Paper Mario game has been stated to be part of the plan. Even LEGO Super Mario sets are slated for release this June, so there’s plenty for Mario fans to look forward to.
