Someone call Kevin Feige! N. T. Rama Rao Jr. could be the next hero the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) needs!
N. T. Rama Rao Jr., also known as NTR Jr., is the star of the Telugu action film RRR. The action film has been making big breaks since its release in 2022, nabbing Golden Globes awards and giving earning international following. The film has also made NTR Jr. a force to be reckoned with as he finally makes his entrance into the world of Hollywood.
Now that the star has gotten the eyes of the world, there’s only one thing he has his eyes on: Marvel. Speaking at the screening of RRR, the actor shared his hopes of one day joining the MCU.
“I would love to do it,” said NTR. Jr. “I’m waiting for it to happen.”
Whilst he doesn’t have a specific Marvel character he would love to bring to life, NTR Jr. has an inclination towards heroes that are innately human and relatable. His favourite Marvel character, after all, is Iron Man.
“He’s so relatable,” NTR Jr. said. “He is someone like us. He does not have superpowers. He doesn’t come from a different planet. He’s not someone who has been put through a science experiment and become the Hulk.”
NTR Jr. is definitely superhero worthy. Aside from his performance in RRR, the actor’s ripped physique has been getting lots of attention. NTR Jr. trained for 18 months and gained about six kilograms of muscle for the role. He apparently ate seven meals a day, amounting to about 4,000 calories. Currently, an RRR sequel is in the works.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, for behind all this makeup, is a geek just like you. To simply put it, superheroes, Star Wars, Harry Potter and all things gore and creepy makes this girly girl swoon.
