In a bid to explore a different route and expand its horizon, Razer has recently launched its very own digital store in US, UK, Germany, and France with the Razer Online Store, where all user purchases come in the form of Steam or Uplay Product keys.
Now, gaming enthusiasts in Singapore will get first dibs on the Humble Bundle-esque store – in the Southeast Asian market, at least – courtesy of a collaborative effort between Lazada Singapore and Razer. It’s indeed a welcome treat for the gamers, as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines are all slated to have a launch only later this year (2018).
On the topic of the Lazada-Razer team-up, Hari Vijayarajan, EVP and Chief Business Officer of Lazada Singapore expresses:
The Razer Game Store on Lazada is the only official Southeast Asia-centric source of original PC digital games from publishers all over the world. We are delighted that Razer has chosen to open its first-ever game store in Southeast Asia on Lazada, expanding out partnership from gaming accessories to the hottest games to bring a complete experience to players.
While the Razer Game Store is already offering attractive discounts for users on a frequent basis, Lazada aims to sweeten the deal even further. Building upon their regional e-commerce expertise, the store will entitle gamers to regular fans promotions, including in-app specials, that are specially catered for its home markets, with local pricing to boot. Lazada LiveUp members will also get rebates on every purchase of games, same like when buying products at the moment.
As a form of celebration, the following titles will also be sold at discounted prices:
- Far Cry 5 (10% off)
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands (67% off)
- Fallout 4 (50% off)
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition (50% off)
And if you still find them a bit pricey afterwards? No worries, just enter the RGSLAZ15 discount code upon checkout to claim an additional 15% off! Be quick, however, for it’s only available in limited numbers.
The Razer Online Store is now live on Lazada, and psst, here’s just as a small teaser of what to expect in the near future: Lazada’s upcoming sixth birthday bash will see a spread of exclusive promotions from brand partners, flash, sales, vouchers, and discounts of up to a whopping 90 percent in Singapore alone. Neat.
It’s interesting that Razer has decided to team up with Lazada Singapore to launch their digital store here, especially since they hosted their own game store in the US and UK. But with the promise of more gaming goodness to come, we are certainly not complaining, and Lazada’s move above seems set to bolster the partnership with a good start.
