Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Accidentally Leaked Ahead Of Ubisoft Forward Event

Recently, Ubisoft has been a little clumsy in trying to keep its hand hidden. While the renaming of Immortals Fenyx Rising wasn’t all that much of an eye-opener, here’s one: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. And guess who leaked it? None other than Ubisoft itself on its Uplay digital platform.

This leak, having been deleted since, was first confirmed on the forums of ResetEra by user AndrewDTF (via Eurogamer), revealing the titular Prince in an all-new getup and visuals. A second banner features a beautiful woman, presumably Farah, daughter of the Maharajah in India.

While we have to wait for the latest Ubisoft Forward digital event, which is due to commence later this week, this leak all but confirms the existence of the remake of the iconic 2003 game of the same name.

Whether Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will be the same game as the original, or be an entirely different take on the original (a la Final Fantasy VII Remake) remains to be seen. More importantly, however, it’s safe to assume that the remake will be coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when it releases.
