It’s official, fans of the new Sony PlayStation 4 will be able to get their hands on the new PS4 for SGD639 SRP in Singapore on 19 December 2013.

Compared to the PlayStation of old, which was released at in excess of SGD799, gaming has gotten more affordable. I remember getting my PlayStation 3 together with Rock Band because frankly that was the only ground breaking title to grab at that point of time.

Fast forward to 2013, we see many of the releases on the console are pretty much the same titles that appear on current gen systems. Prettier graphics likely but bringing something new to the table will be a few months along now.

Out of all the release titles, I believe that Killzone: Shadow Fall will be the preferred choice or perhaps Battlefield 4.

In Singapore, gamers will be able to pick up the Killzone bundle at SGD699 which consists of a mono headset, a HDMI cable & Killzone: Shadow Fall. Extra controllers come in at SGD87.90. Funny thing though, apart from FIFA I don’t reckon there will be many local multiplayer games that will be made for the console in this generation.

There will be a pop up store outside Wisma Atria, Singapore from 19 December onwards to give customers a chance to sample the console before purchase.

Mark your calendar guys and save your bonus, for we will have the hottest Christmas present that everyone will be hunting for.
