‘Persona 3 Reload’ Releasing DLC In 3 Waves, Will Include ‘Episode Aigis: The Answer’

Atlas has answered the prayers of Persona 3 Reload fans. The JRPG remake will get the previously missing expansion Episode Aigis: The Answer, but there’s a catch — it’s arriving as the last part of a three-wave DLC drop.

The first piece of content is the background music with soundtracks from Persona 5 Royal and Persona 4 Golden. It’s releasing 12 March before the Velvet Room costume pack and BGM collection, which drops later in May. Episode Aigis: The Answer will then come to Persona 3 Reload in September.

As with the main game, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be have free access to the expansion pass. Non-subscribers, meanwhile, have to fork out US$34.99. The Answer was initially included in Persona 3 FES, the enhanced rerelease of Persona 3 for the PlayStation 2, serving an epilogue to its main story.

It follows robot companion Aigis, who has awakened to the power of the Wild Card, as a new main character through a roughly 30-hour story, alongside new AI party member Metis. The campaign features The Abyss of Time, a time-looping dungeon that introduces the ability to summon multiple personas simultaneously, as well as something called Theurgies — a battle power unique to each SEES member.

Persona 3 Reload DLC Episode Aigis

In light of the DLC announcement, it seems Persona 3 Reload won’t bring back the highly-requested secondary female protagonist introduced in Persona 3 Portable. Here’s what to expect from the final story chapter, per Atlus:

“After unravelling the mysteries of the Dark Hour, fighting epic battles through Tartarus, and all the unforgettable events of Persona 3 Reload, the S.E.E.S. members find themselves trapped in a never-ending March 31st. Journey through the Abyss of Time as Aigis, undertake new challenges, and uncover the cause of this strange fate and the truth of what happened on that day…”
