It’s been six years since homegrown brand Omnidesk burst into the standing desk scene, and what better way to mark the milestone than celebrating its Singaporean roots? The company has joined forces with local artist Tobyato for its sixth anniversary limited-edition desk mat, available on the official website from 14 April.
Decked out in the illustrator’s bold, striking, and urban flair, its octopus-inspired design depicts the deep sea creature in a cloud of blue, gold, and grey — a nod to Omnidesk’s signature colors. A stylish packaging completes the collaboration, with the ‘八带鱼’ banner, meaning ‘octopus’ in Chinese, reinforcing the Eastern touch.
“We were delighted when Tobyato presented his design for our anniversary celebration. His work resonated with us, reflecting our brand identity, and as advocates of local talent, he’s our ideal inaugural artist collaboration. We anticipate this partnership as a precursor to future collaborations with other talented artists,” said Benjamin Huang, managing director at Omnidesk, of the company’s collaboration with Tobiyato.
The desk mat (S$49) will also be available on launch day at the Omnidesk Funan pop-up store, where Tobayto is set to host a fansign event from 3 to 5pm.
