The script to Spider-Man: No Way Home got published online and it revealed that the scenes of all three Peter Parkers pointing to each other was a recreation of the pointing Spider-Man meme.
The meme was re-enacted in two scenes. First, the scene where Ned calls for Peter when all three Peter Parkers, played by Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire, were busy making antidotes for the multiverse villains. And secondly, during the major scaffolding action scene at the top of the statue.
Fans who are familiar with the popular meme would’ve caught the reference immediately. Nonetheless, it’s still nice to know that it was purposefully included and referenced in the script.
Spider-Man: No Way Home saw all three Spideys return to fight against villains across the multiverse. Garfield and Maguire’s involvement were kept secret for almost two years, but now that the movie has been out for over a month, Sony has dropped spoiler photos from the big superhero movie.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, for behind all this makeup, is a geek just like you. To simply put it, superheroes, Star Wars, Harry Potter and all things gore and creepy makes this girly girl swoon.
