It seemed like ages since Daedelic Entertainment‘s The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was revealed to the world. While March brought the first look at in-game footage in action, there are still plenty of unknown details about this new game. Thankfully, the Nacon Connect live show provided a new developer interview and trailer that also allowed us to sneak a peek at the characters and environments in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.
Producer Harald Riegler was on hand to share more, talking us through Gollum’s upcoming adventures.
Expanding The Cast
We already know that Gollum would be the star of the stealth action-adventure game. However, he will also be joined by everybody’s favourite wise wizard, Gandalf, more specifically, Gandalf the Grey. Looking every bit like his movie counterpart, this particular wizard is more on the slim side.
Armed with his staff and likely the sword, Glamdring, Gandalf will likely be key to what takes place in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. That is not all we saw as part of this new The Lord of the Rings: Gollum trailer.
The Mouth of Sauron also gets his debut, together with Elven King Thranduil. The former looks every bit as menacing with those evil features and an interesting neck cage. The latter, on the other hand, exudes an air of mystique and power with the help of nature.
No new The Lord of the Rings: Gollum trailer would be complete without the main creature himself. There are glimpses of the sneaky fellow making his way into the fires of Mordor in search of his precious. The orcs and the beasts are also there to make it a party, alongside more views of Mirkwood and other environments.
There is no release date for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum just yet, but we will make do with this trailer until 2022.
