The standalone sequel to Netflix’s hit animated series adaptation, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, has dropped a new trailer, offering a better look at its cast of new heroes ahead of its release in Fall 2026.
The trailer gives our best look yet at the show’s four new faces, Weak Kingsley, D, Roman Carax, and Talia Yang. Set in Night City once more, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will see these four characters trying to survive the lawless and unforgiving city, where only the most ruthless can survive, and one wrong move could get them arrested or worse.
“Weak, a washed-up cyberpunk legend, is now forced to live without chrome as he searches for a sense of purpose in a world that’s passed him by,” reads the official show synopsis on the Cyberpunk website. “Meanwhile, the deadly nomad D sets out on a path to revenge that brings him close to corpo secrets never meant to be found. Across this ten-episode standalone series, uncover a story of family, obsession, legacy – and how your lens reflects the stories of the people around you.”
The website also offers a more detailed description of the four main characters. Weak Kingsley was “Once known as ‘King,’ a veteran Edgerunner at the top of his game, Weak now lives in the shadow of his former glory”, D is a Snake Nation netrunner who hunts the killer that wiped out his clan”, Roman Carax is a “young cinephile in search of real stories in a city that abandoned cinema for braindances”, and Talia Yang “hails from the Corpo towers, but her heart belongs to chrome and violence.”

Kai Ikarashi will return to direct Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, alongside lead designer Kanno Ichigo and showrunner, story writer, and producer Bartosz Sztybor. The series will comprise ten episodes and is set to launch on Netflix in Fall 2026.
