Monster Hunter X Sushiro Collaboration Whets(tone) Appetite For Adventure In Singapore

Capcom’s long-running Monster Hunter series has always brought giant, daunting beasts into focus (it’s in the name, after all), but food is also integral to the core experience. Cooking meals prepares players for the many hunts to come, granting them stat buffs and increased elemental resistance.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, the lack of a canteen means all the work is done on the Portable BBQ Grill or from the base and pop-up camps, with one particular animated cutscene bringing attention to cheese naan, causing sales and demand in Japan to skyrocket.

While the oven-baked flatbread won’t be available for the franchise’s first restaurant collaboration in Singapore, fans can look forward to a limited-time sushi menu and exclusive merchandise starting today, 2 April 2025. The Monster Hunter X Sushiro tie-in will run for seven weeks across all 13 outlets nationwide, held in celebration of the game’s recent launch.

The event spans two waves — the first from 2 to 20 April, and the next from 21 April to 18 May, each featuring a different set of designs. During this period, the Suntec City and Taste Orchard outlets will be decked out in themed decor, from tables adorned with poster art depicting the various eras of the series and life-size standees to visuals of weapons, monsters, and staple elements like the ever-trusty Palico.

As for the special food menu, details for all three dishes are as follows:

  • Thick Cut Southern Bluefin Tuna 6 Way (S$19): Rich, umami flavours of tuna sushi done in 6 different ways. Comes with a random silicon keychain.
  • MonHun Specialist Chicken Drumstick (S$5): Juicy chicken leg that mimics the Master Rank Hammer weapon, Juicy Well-done Hammer, obtainable from an in-game quest.
  • MonHun Dual Blade Pork (S$3.50): Tender pork fillet in the shape of the fastest-hitting weapon in the game, Dual Blades.

The culinary offerings come with a food pick, available in 14 designs, with other exclusive offerings including random silicon keychains packed into blind bags, smartphone cross-body straps, and a chicken drumstick plushie. Customers who spend a minimum of S$20 can purchase up to two cross-body straps (S$10.90 each) during Wave 1 (2 to 20 April) that pay tribute to Jin Dahaad, Yian Kut-Ku, and Arkveld, the flagship monster of Monster Hunter Wilds.

Meanwhile, every order of the Thick Cut Southern Bluefin Tuna 6 Way includes one free silicon keychain (five designs for each wave). The chicken drumstick plushie (S$15.90) is the first offering of its kind, available for purchase with a minimum spending of $S20 in a single receipt.
