Following the initial announcement at the Microsoft x Bethesda showcase last year, we now have more news regarding the spinoff that is Minecraft Legends following the Xbox Developer Direct live stream. The action-strategy title will arrive later this year on 18 April, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch
The new trailer for Minecraft Legends focused more on the PvP mode, where players can engage in battles against each other, while trying to build their base, collect resources, and go on raids to scupper the enemy’s efforts.
Each map will be procedurally generated, giving each experience a unique feel to it. In addition, the netural Piglin enemies that players can fight for resources and will have to defend themselves from. The objective is to stay alive, and destroy anything else that stands in your way. Obviously, building your base will be very important, and judging from the trailer, we can expect to see all sorts of aesthetics, as well as strategic options.
Minecraft Legends will also include a story campaign that can be played in co-op. Explore lush biomes filled with treasures and perils, meet new friends, and reunite with familiar mobs. Work with familiar Minecraft races to defend a procedurally generated world from the Piglin invasion on your own, or bring a friend along for the ride.
Minecraft Legends launches this coming 18 April on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
