McDonald’s Singapore Transforms ‘DC League of Super-Pets’ Into Adorable Happy Meal Toys

Humans aren’t the only ones who can grow into powerful superheroes. In DC League of Super-Pets, shelter animals are also capable of saving the world, and McDonald’s Singapore is looking to celebrate that spirit in light of the movie’s upcoming release with a new lineup of McDonald’s super-pets plushes.

The wonder pets will be transformed into adorable Happy Meal toys from 12 May 2022, with Batman and his ever-reliable pal Super ACE kicking things off. The pair will then be replaced by Green Lantern and Super Chip from 19 to 25 May, Wonder Woman and Lulu from 26 May to 1 June, Flash and Super Merton from 2 to 8 June. For the final release, Superman and Super Krypto will be available from 9 to 15 June. Each duo will be up for grabs for a week, with new toys available every Thursday at 11 am and while stocks last.

As for the movie, DC League of Super-Pets is a 3D computer-animated superhero comedy film based on the DC Comics superhero team Legion of Super-Pets. Jared Stern will serve as director and co-writer along with John Wittington, with Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Keanu Reeves — among others — lending their voices to the pack.

A synopsis of the movie, which is slated for release on 1 September 2022, reads:

“When the Justice League is captured by Lex Luthor, Superman’s dog, Krypto (Dwayne Johnson) forms a team of shelter pets who were given superpowers: a hound named Ace (Kevin Hart), who becomes super strong and indestructible; a pig named PB (Vanessa Bayer), who can grow to giant-size; a turtle named Merton (Natasha Lyonne), who becomes super fast; and a squirrel named Chip (Diego Luna), who gains electric powers.”
