Max Honors Matthew Perry With Tribute On Every ‘Friends’ Season

The world lost the talented Matthew Perry, best known for his portrayal of Chandler Bing on Friends, this past Saturday at the age of 54. In his memory, Max has added a tribute card at the start of each season of the beloved sitcom.

Perry portrayed the humorous and sardonic Chandler Bing in Friends, co-starring with Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc.

Upon selecting the first episode of any of the 10 seasons, viewers are met with a poignant message: “In memory of Matthew Perry 1969-2023.” This tribute, showcasing the actor’s headshot and spanning approximately five seconds, precedes the iconic Friends opening.

Perry’s unexpected passing occurred at his Los Angeles residence, with authorities finding him in a hot tub. Following the announcement, tributes and heartfelt messages poured in.

Max joined the mourning, sharing a youthful image of Perry on their social media platforms with the caption, “We are truly saddened to learn of Matthew Perry’s passing. We extend our condolences to his family, loved ones, and fans.”

Beyond his memorable role in Friends, Perry’s legacy continues through his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing. In it, he candidly discussed his battles with addiction and journey to recovery.

Perry leaves behind his father, John Bennett Perry, his mother, Suzanne Morrison, and five siblings: Caitlin Morrison, Emily Morrison, Will Morrison, Madeline Morrison, and Maria Perry.
