The cast of DC Universe’s upcoming animated series Creature Commandos has been announced and within the list of voice actors are some familiar Marvel vets.
Creature Commandos will see Marvel vets David Harbour, Frank Grillo and Sean Gunn take on Eric Frankenstein, Rick Flag and Weasel/G.I. Robot respectively.
Harbour is best known for his role as Jim Hopper in Stranger Things and Red Guardian in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) Black Widow. The Purge star Grillo previously played Brock Rumlow aka Crossbones in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Gunn was MCU’s Kraglin Obfonteri.
Other Creature Commandos cast announced are Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana Rostovic, Indira Varma as The Bride, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, and Steve Agee as John Economos.
Creature Commandos kicks off the DC Universe as part of ‘Chapter One: Gods and Monsters’. The seven-episode series will be based on the comic property of the same name and will focus on an unusual team of DC characters who are frequently called monsters.
No release date has been set yet but DC Studios co-President James Gunn has revealed that it is currently in production and will, at some point in time, lead into a live-action project.
