PAX East may have seen its fair share of casualties in terms of companies pulling out, but one of the big guns remained. Both Disney and Marvel were still present, and at the Marvel Mystery Panel, we saw the reveal of a new game, Marvel Future Revolution.
An open-world roleplaying game that brings together iconic Marvel characters with enough outfits to go crazy with, this comes via a partnership between Marvel and Netmarble. It is also the follow-up to the impressive Marvel Future Fight.
However, instead of just a fight, we are looking at a full-blown revolution. With Captain America at the helm, an apocalyptic scenario has the Marvel multiverse showing up to take on the looming threat. Could this be alluding to a multiplayer-like experience, or simply the different ways you can customise the heroes? We cannot wait to find out.
Netmarble has also shared several videos showing off the game’s gorgeous environments, the high-quality character models, and of course, the awesome alternate costumes. Not to leave the bad guys out, we also get a glimpse of some of the villains we will be facing in Marvel Future Revolution.
As Captain America, Captain Marvel, Dr, Strange, and Spider-Man lead the charge, there will sure to be even more heroes joining the fray. Just how Marvel and Netmarble intend to fit in all the heroes in an open-world RPG is still a mystery, but colour us excited for what comes next.
