British manufacturer Marshall has officially released its new rugged Willen (S$179) mini portable speakers, as well as Emberton II (S$299), the second generation version of its top-selling speaker, in Singapore.
The Willen is built with a 2-inch full-range driver and two passive radiators, boasting Marshall’s high-fidelity tuning and solid instrument separation for excellent music in a palm-sized frame. Its IP67 rating means it is essentially waterproof, so it can even be used in the rain. It gives you 15+ hours of use time, and can be fully charged in three hours.
It comes in a rugged black/white/gold casing that is made with sustainability in mind — it uses 60 percent of plastic from recycled electronics and is PVC-free.
Willen can be paired with the Marshall Bluetooth app via Bluetooth 5.1 for equaliser controls, or settings can be adjusted directly on the unit’s front-mounted multi-directional control knob. It has a stack mode to pair with other Willen speakers for big party events. It even comes with a built-in microphone that you can use for calls and voice chats.
Marshall Emberton II
The Emberton II delivers rich, clear Marshall sounds with its two 2-inch full-range drivers and two passive radiators. Its textured silicone sleeve casing, which echoes the legacy of rock ‘n’ roll, promises superior spatial and binaural sounds for a 360° listening experience.
The Emberton II has 30+ hours of portable use time, and can be fully charged in three hours. Like the Willen, it has a IP67 waterproof rating, making it even functional under 1m of water for up to 30 minutes. The sturdy body is made with a sustainable approach with 50 percent of plastic from recycled used electronics and is PVC-free.
The speaker also comes with Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless connectivity, a stack mode to link with other Emberton II speakers, and a multi-directional control knob to play, pause, skip tracks, and adjust the volume.
The Marshall’s Willen (S$179) and Emberton II (S$299) portable speakers are available now on Shopee.
