Join the largest Magic: The Gathering (MTG) Carnival and learn how to play MTG, snag free booster packs, and immerse yourself in fun fringe activities as the game celebrates the “March of the Machine ” set pre-release. There’s something for old and new players alike, and you won’t want to miss the festivities!
On 8 and 9 April 2023, Grey Ogre Games, Sanctuary Gaming, and Dueller’s Point will be transformed into different worlds in the MTG Universe. Experience Kamigawa, Dominaria, and Phyrexia with learn-to-play sessions, cosplays, and free booster packs. The learn-to-play sessions will teach new players to identify the basic colours of the game, read a card, and understand the types of cards available. New players who pre-register will get two themed booster packs, and players who dress according to the store’s theme or bring a new player will get themed booster packs as well.
Each of the stores has a different MTG experience, so for the full carnival immersion, you’ll want to stop by each of the stores. Snap a picture at the themed photobooths set up at the game stores, and walk away with 2 free Jumpstart Booster Packs when you post on your socials. The heroine Elspeth will also be making an appearance at all three stores on both days, so don’t miss your chance at a meet-and-greet!
The festivities continue into the March of the Machine pre-release weekend of 14 to 16 April 2023, where Wizards Play Network (WPN) member game stores across Singapore will be hosting pre-release events with a first look at the March of the Machine cards. The new 2v2 game mode will also debut that weekend, and new players will be paired with experienced players who will guide them through gameplay. Experienced players will also get booster packs for showing new players the ropes at this event.
