GeraldHot on the heels of Commander Masters, Wizards of the Coast has unveiled their next premium Magic: The Gathering commander deck – Angels: They’re Just Like Us but Cooler and with Wings.
Featuring mono-white Angels, the commander deck has plenty of legendary angels players to use as their commanders.
The coolest cards of the bunch has to be the new borderless Secret Lair cards by Scott M. Fisher to give the deck maximum bling.
With Gisela, the Broken Blade and Bruna, the Fading Light being able to meld together, it’s a nice touch that Wizards included additional display cards to help players save the effort of getting their cards out of their protective sleeves.
If Brisela, Voice of Nightmares ever hits the table, it’s going to have a big target painted on its back for instant removal!
Apart from angels, the new Plains art from Rob Alexander looks amazing as well and it does appear that they are able to form a panorama.
From the looks of it, the entire deck looks great from the get-go and with angels generally being expensive creatures to cast, the inclusion of cards like Urza’s Incubator, Starnheim Aspirant and Pearl Medallion really help speed up getting our winged friends to the table.
