Galadriel Sees The Rise Of New Evil In ‘Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ Trailer

The moment is finally here. The long-awaited The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power official trailer has made its way to the internet and it promises stunning visuals and Morfydd Clark’s debut as Galadriel.

In the trailer, Galadriel reminds people that they have not seen what she has seen. She knows peace is fragile, and conflict will not end as easily as it may have seemed to. Viewers also get a glimpse of her frightening visions.

Aside from Galadriel, viewers also get their first glimpse of characters from the island kingdom of Númenor including Isildur (Maxim Baldry), Elendil (Lloyd Owen) and Queen Regent Míriel (Cynthia Addai-Robinson).

The trailer also offers a first look at the various realms of Middle Earth that will feature in the series including the Dwarven realm Khazad-dûm and the Elven realms of Lindon and Eregion.

The official synopsis for the series reads, “This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.”

“Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.”

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 2 September, with new episodes available weekly.
