Chinese giants Tencent Games is launching a new game publishing arm, Level Infinite, as its next step in cementing itself as a trusted global publisher. The division will be based in Amsterdam and Singapore with staff located around the world, and will provide the developers under them with support and services such as assistance with technology, production, esports integration, international publishing, and market research and analysis.
Level Infinite’s initial slate of titles includes Synced: Off Planet for PC from NExT Studios, Don’t Starve: Newhome for mobile devices from Shengqu Games, Arena of Valor on mobile devices from TiMi Studio Group, and more titles from Lightspeed & Quantum Studios, TiMi Studio Group, and several third-party developers.
Upcoming titles that will be published by Level Infinite include Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide from Fatshark, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt from Sharkmob, GTFO from 10 Chambers, and Metal: Hellsinger from Funcom, which will also have a new game debuting at The Game Awards.
Based on the titles that are announced, it seems like Level Infinite is supporting already established developers and franchises. However, the effects and influence of Tencent Games/Level Infinite and its new approach remains to be seen.
