Lenovo Levels Up Their Legion Gaming Computers, Kicks Off A New Esports League

With Razer and Asus recently making waves in the PC gaming market, Chinese tech giant Lenovo clearly wants a piece of the action, and has released no less than six products under its gaming brand, Legion, to fend off the competition.

At a recent launch event, the company said that it conducted extensive research to find out what it is that gamers want and need, and the result is a lineup that give gamers a more immersive gaming experience, and even more options in customizing their set-up, which includes addressing users’ call for increased power, portability, customization capabilities and more.

Using the Intel Optane Technology, Lenovo says gamers can now launch their titles up to 2.48x faster, load game levels up to 32% more quickly than other computers, and rapidly save their progress with up to 2.1x better overall system performance.

Here are the new additions to Lenovo’s Legion brand:


Legion Y530 and Y730 Laptop

Small, but powerful. The consumers want slimmer, lighter gaming laptops with a minimalistic design, and this is Legion’s answer to that demand. Weighing in at 2.3kg, with a thickness of 23.9mm, the new Y series laptops have a smaller footprint than its predecessor. It also has an improved thermal design, using spaced out dual fans with Innovative Ultra-thin, multi-length fan blades. For more customization features, opt for the Y730 series with its 16 million colour combinations and effects visible from the keyboard to ambient thermal lighting. The Legion Y530 is available in stores now.

Legion C530 and C730 Cube

The 19-litre gaming PC offers tower-level gaming with a more portable design. It has a dual-channel thermal system that helps with eliminating heat internally, and minimising thermal throttling. The C730 series has the latest Intel K processing, NVIDIA graphics and overclocked Corsair memory. The transparent top and the RGB lighting that’ll immediately make you look like the serious gamer that you always wanted to be.

Legion T530 and T730 Tower

Legion’s 28-litre desktop has been redesigned to fit the more current, minimalistic trend that consumers want. The new look houses the latest Intel Gaming processors, discrete graphics, DDR4 memory, PCIe SSD storage and dual-channel cooling. The T730 series has customisable RGB LED system lighting, and optional liquid cooling. The case has a tool-less design and an integrated handle for easy self-upgrading. The Legion T530 is available in stores now.

Along with releasing six new machines, Lenovo will also be kicking off Ride of Legion, a new esports league where players can battle it out on Rainbow Six: Siege, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Dota 2! Participants can stand to win prizes up to S$3,000 by registering their interest on the official website.
