GeraldAfter multiple Legend of Zelda fan submissions have been repeatedly blocked from the LEGO Ideas (where fans’ designs are cast and voted on by the community to become official sets) route, we finally understand what has been brewing. The upcoming 2,500-piece LEGO 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set has been unveiled by Nintendo.
This Lego set lets you build the Great Deku Tree in two different styles, based on the Zelda games Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild. You can choose to build it with green summer leaves or pink spring blossoms similar to the botanical bonsai LEGO set. The set also includes multiple versions of Link (and one Zelda), wearing different outfits from each game.
The Great Deku Tree Lego set comes with fun features, like moving parts to change the tree’s facial expressions. It also includes several characters, creatures, and easter eggs from the Zelda games, such as a skulltula, koroks, Hestu with his maracas and fairies.
The LEGO 77092 Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set is available for preorder at US$299.99 and will start shipping in September.
