In the past, the intersection of fashion and video games resulted in graphic tees and hoodies. But now, high fashion has become increasingly intertwined with video games. From Final Fantasy 13’s heroine, Lightning being the face of Louis Vuitton to Chanel’s travelling beauty pop-up, luxury brands are venturing deeper into the realm of gaming.
The most recent collision between the two is an unprecedented partnership between Riot Games and Louis Vuitton for the League of Legends World Championship 2019.

The designer label will be creating a one-of-a-kind trophy travel case for the Summoner’s Cup, to be awarded to the winners. The trunk will include both Louis Vuitton’s classic elements and high-tech components from the League of Legend’s world.

To top it off, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Women’s collections, Nicolas Ghesquière, will be designing exclusive champion skins and a capsule collection that will be announced closer to the date of the Championships.
The League of Legends World Championship is set to gather the world’s best players on October 2 for this year’s group stages in Berlin. Then it is off to Madrid on October 26 for the quarterfinals and semi-finals before culminating with the finals on November 10, in Paris.
