Following the massive success of Season 1, the second chapter of the hit Korean Disney+ sci-fi drama Moving is kicking into high gear, as production is now underway with many of its ensemble cast also set to return.

As reported by Variety, four of its lead cast members, Go Youn-jung (Sweet Home), Zo In-sung (A Frozen Flower), Ryu Seung-ryong (Kingdom), and Han Hyo-joo (Happiness), will return as protagonists Jang Hee-soo, Kim Doo-shik, Jang Ju-won, and Lee Mi-hyun, respectively. Additionally, Won Gyubin (B*tch X Rich) will be taking over the role of protagonist Kim Bong-seok from Lee Jung-ha (One: High School Heroes), as the latter will be serving his military service.
For the uninitiated, Moving is based on the Korean 2015 webtoon of the same name, and centres on a familial story of three teenage high school students and their parents who discover their superpowers. The spy thriller premiered in August 2023 and became the most-viewed Korean original show on Disney+, and would go on to receive a nomination at the 29th Critics’ Choice Awards alongside multiple accolades at numerous other awards, like the Busan International Film Festival’s Asia Content Awards and the Global OTT Awards.
Season 2 will be helmed by director Kim Seong-hun (Kingdom), based on a screenplay by Kang Full, the creator of the original webtoon, who also wrote the adaptation’s first season. The second chapter will follow the aftermath of the Jeongwon High School Incident, and see its returning characters trying to live out an ordinary life, only for new and returning dangers to threaten their lives once more.

“With the first season of Moving, my goal was to establish a new benchmark for Korean superhero narratives. For the second, I intend to raise that bar even higher, evolving the series into something truly exceptional,” said Kang Full in a statement.
