‘Bleach: TYBW Final Part – The Calamity’ Trailer Teases Multiple Explosive Fights As Series Nears End

The final chapter of Kurosaki Ichigo’s journey is imminent, and Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Final Part – The Calamity looks set to end things off with a bang. Following a brief teaser reveal last year, the anime has landed a brand-new trailer, dripped in the visually striking, stylistic flair the revival series is known for, and teasing the explosive fights to come.

As manga readers would know, some of these high-stakes spectacles include the final battle between Ichigo and Quincy King Yhwach, Uryū Ishida and Jugram Haschwalth, and Yoruichi Shihōin and Askin Nakk Le Vaar — glimpses of which can be seen in the one-minute clip. Other characters, such as Kisuke Urahara and captains Byakuya Kuchiki, Toshiro Hitsugaya, and Zaraki Kenpachi, also appear, with no update to the previously confirmed premiere date of July 2026.

Additionally, fans in  Hokkaido, Tokyo, Aichi, Osaka and Fukuoka can catch the first three episodes at advance screenings in theatres on 21 June for one day only. Attendees will receive a set of three key animation prints, and ticket applications close on 10 June.

The Thousand-Year Blood War Arc is the final story arc, covering volumes 55 to 74. Pierrot Films, the new arm of Pierrot’s second studio, is returning to helm the animation, where Hikaru Murata serves as director. Other key staff include Tomohisa Taguchi and Masaki Hiramatsu as composers, Masashi Kudo as character designer, and Shiro Sagisu as music composer, as well as Yukio Hasegawa, Sei Komatsubara, Masashi Kudo, and Kumiko Takayanagi as chief animation directors.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Final Part - The Calamity

The third anime instalment, titled The Conflict, aired in October 2024 and has caught up to chapter 661 of the source material, leaving around 25 chapters for the fourth and final cour to adapt. However, series creator Tite Kubo previously confirmed that it will include more original material than the previous parts, so it’d be interesting to see how the plot points, showdowns, and resolutions will be expanded.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Final Part – The Calamity is slated to debut sometime this July.
