Mark Grayson cannot seem to catch a break. Following the conclusion of a brutal, all-out battle in Season 3 of Invincible, the young superhero (Steven Yeun, The Walking Dead) is back in the throes of intergalactic conflict that spills over to Season 4 – this time against the greatest threat to Earth: the big bad himself, Grand Regent Thragg.
Ahead of his series debut, Prime Video has offered a first look at the leader of the Viltrum Empire (voiced by Foundation star Lee Pace) in the trailer for the upcoming outing. It opens with the aftermath of the battle between Mark and his allies and the Conquest, leaving plenty of destruction in its wake. After introducing several new threats from the comics, including Dinosaurus (Matthew Rhys, The Americans) and Universa (Danai Gurira, The Walking Dead), the focus turns to the redeemed Omni-Man and his father-son relationship with Mark, and his uneasy alliance with Seth Rogen’s Allen, as the heroes gear up for The Viltrumite War.
“While the world recovers from catastrophe, a changed Mark fights to protect his home and the people he loves, setting him on a collision course with a threat that could alter the fate of humanity forever,” reads the official synopsis for the fourth season, which sets up the stage for the famously bloody comic arc that fans have been eagerly anticipating.

The wait won’t be long, thankfully. Invincible Season 4 is set to release on 18 March, with original creator Robert Kirkman back at the helm alongside executive producers Rogen, David Alpert, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, Catherine Winder, and Evan Goldberg. Meanwhile, the returning voice cast includes Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Zachary Quinto, Chris Diamantopoulos, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ben Schwartz, Jay Pharoah, Mark Hamill, and more.
A fifth season has been announced, albeit without a release window. On the gaming front, Skybound Entertainment is also developing a project described as “definitely cool”, though not much else is known beyond that.
