‘Invincible’ Season 2 Second Half Sets Premiere Date On Comic Book Anniversary

The second half of Invincible Season 2 will drop on 14 March 2024, commemorating the 21st anniversary of the comics the animated series is based on. Season 2 aired its first half last November, ending on a cliffhanger with the fate of Earth hanging in the balance, and fans have been eagerly anticipating the second half since.

Serving as one of the show’s executive producers is The Walking Dead comic author Robert Kirkman, who also created the Invincible comics. The Amazon Prime Video series stars Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) as fledgling superhero Mark Grayson, Sandara Oh (Killing Eve) as Mark’s mother Debbie Grayson, and J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man ) as Omni-Man, Mark’s superhero father, along with an ensemble cast.

Invincible is about 17-year-old superhero Mark Grayson who struggles with balancing his personal and superhero life to follow in the footsteps of his father Nolan, who is an accomplished superhero. Nolan, accompanied by his superhero friends, go on missions to keep their city safe as an alien threat looms above their world.

It was renewed for a second and third season in 2021, and has a live-action movie in the works, and even features Omni-Man as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1. Steven Yeun has expressed his interest to star in the live-action movie, though not as Mark, due to his age.
