As the COVID-19 pandemic situation continues, many facets of society have been affected by it at an alarmingly increasing rate. Celebrities are also no exception, with the likes of Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson recently testing positive for the virus.
The latest star to be stricken with COVID-19 is Idris Elba. The Thor: Ragnarok and Fast and Furious: Hobbs & Shaw star recently announced his status on a video on Twitter.
Elba revealed that he quarantined himself and got tested because he realised he was “exposed to someone who also tested positive”. He didn’t show any symptoms prior to testing positive, which prompted him to urge fans to be “really vigilant” about taking care of one’s hygiene, and practicing social distancing amid the coronavirus outbreak.
While the Englishman is not the first to be diagnosed with COVID-19, it looks like he might not be the last, especially since the UK is has been struck quite badly with it. Other parts of Europe, a lot of which are shooting locations for upcoming postponed films and TV series, have also been affected quite severely by COVID-19, most notably Italy, which went on lockdown in recent weeks.
Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
