‘Hogwarts Legacy’ Magically Delayed Again, Sets Firm 2023 Release

For fans of the magical world of Harry Potter and the secrets in that universe, you are going to have to wait a little longer in order to dive into the past. Portkey Games has announced a delay for Hogwarts Legacy, pushing it from its original Holiday 2022 release to the actual date of 10 February 2023.

The delay for Hogwarts Legacy will affect the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC side of things, with the Nintendo Switch launch date still yet to be determined. “The team is excited for you to play, but we need a little more time to deliver the best possible game experience,” the tweet that revealed the delay stated.

A closer look at the game was provided via March’s State of Play, inviting players to the Wizarding World set in the 1800s as a fifth-year student and embarking on all sorts of magical adventures. Now, the delay for Hogwarts Legacy will prolong that wait just a little longer.

Players on the PlayStation 5 will also have unique features to look forward to, including options for visuals as well as the use of the DualSense’s lightbar, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback to create more of an immersive experience.
