The Kingdom Hearts is renowned not just for its expansive storyline that spans 13 games across a whole host of platforms over 18 whopping years, but also for its extensive cast of characters that have spawned massive fanbases for some of the more popular ones. It also has an absolutely solid soundtrack by Yoko Shimomura that fuels the exhilarating combat and memorable story moments.
And now, that music takes centre stage in Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, a rhythm game coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on 13 November.
In this game, players take on the role of Sora, Donald Duck and Goofy once more, as they wade through various stages fighting Heartless by mashing buttons to the beat of over 140 iconic tracks across each of the 13 games so far.
Yes, this includes tracks from the likes of the original Kingdom Hearts trilogy, as well as the various spinoff titles and prequels such as Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.
In anticipation of the game’s release next month, we managed to get our hands on an early demo of the Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory for your viewing pleasure. Check out the video above for some memorable tunes, as well as a taste of the Easy and tough Proud modes in the game.
