HBO has renewed The Flight Attendant starring Kaley Cuoco for a second season.
The crime-drama focusing on an alcoholic globe-trotting flight attendant in the middle of a murder case was originally intended to be a limited series but the show’s growth warranted a second season, especially since the finale leaves Cassie (Cuoco) in a position to encounter more global intrigue.
The first season saw weekly growth and received a 98% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. The Big Bang Theory actress also received high praise for her comedic-dramatic turn as a woman coming to terms with her past trauma.
“To say that I am elated would be an understatement! The positive response to our show has surpassed all of our expectations and I’m so proud of the entire team behind its success,” said EP and star Cuoco (via Deadline)
The Flight Attendant stars Kaley Cuoco, Michiel Huisman, Rosie Perez, Zosia Mamet, Michelle Gomez, T.R. Knight, Colin Woodell, Merle Dandridge, Griffin Matthews and Nolan Gerard Funk.
