GTA VI Rumoured To Return To Vice City In 2024

With 2021 halfway gone, we still have no idea just what Rockstar is up to when it comes to the Grand Theft Auto series. The E3 period was a perfect time to announce what’s coming next, but as we have learned over the years, the literal rockstars at the studio do things their way. While GTA Online is still going strong, anticipation for GTA VI remains at an all-time high, and recent rumours have been stoking the fires.

Multiple playable characters are expected for GTA VI.

The latest round of rumours come via Tom Henderson, he who leaked accurate information about the recent Battlefield 2042 reveal. The big claim is that GTA VI will be targeting a 2024/2025 launch, and it will take place in a modern Vice City. Other interesting snippets include the map potentially evolving or expanding with time or the addition of DLC, or that one of the playable characters will be a woman.

As is usually the case, Henderson constantly reminds viewers that all the information should be taken with a grain of salt. Seeing that this is all about a game that has not even been confirmed to exist, that is certainly the way to go.

Notable industry figure Jason Schreier of Bloomberg appeared to corroborate what Henderson had shared on Twitter, which might be enough to get fans into another tizzy.

GTA Online is still going strong.

Since 2013’s release of GTA V, Rockstar has been keeping mum on what is next. The studio put out Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, and have been consistently supporting GTA Online with content.

It might take a decade or more before we even see anything about GTA VI. However, for fans of the excellent games that Rockstar have put out over the years, it is most certainly going to be worth the wait.
