Google Turns Bard AI Into Gemini, Adds Paid Subscription Service

When Google first announced its generative AI software, Bard, users were pleasantly surprised by the tech giant’s own AI software. After an official name change in December, Gemini will introduce new changes to Google’s AI.

Most of the current features remain the same, with the addition of the Google One AI Premium plan (S$28.99/month), which gets you access to Gemini’s advanced features, including coding, solving math and science problems, and more. The software will also offer collaborative support, and is reportedly capable of designing a business plan or planning content strategies. Google users will still be able to access Gemini’s free plan, with the premium plan providing extra features.

Gemini will be available in 40 languages on the web, and an iOS and Android app, leveling the playing field and joining competitor ChatGPT. ChatGPT currently also has a free plan, and a premium plan for S$26.93 monthly.

Whether Gemini on Google One AI Premium is worth the investment depends on your needs, but one thing’s for sure — Google is heating up the competition in the AI software field.
