Google Debuts Pixel Tablet With Smart Speakers And Tensor G2 Chip

During the I/O annual developer conference, Google revealed their latest hardware addition, the long-awaited Pixel Tablet. As anticipated, the official announcement has generated considerable excitement, especially after getting leaked a number of times.

The Pixel Tablet boasts an 11-inch screen, a 2560×1600 resolution, and is fueled by the Tensor G2 processor coupled with the Titan M2 security chip. It will also be offered in three attractive colours: Porcelain, Hazel, and Rose.

This device is equipped with three far-field optimized microphones, a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, a four-speaker audio system delivering stereo sound, and 8MP cameras on both the front and rear. Additionally, it provides up to 12 hours of battery life for uninterrupted video streaming.

Featuring over 50 Google apps optimized for its larger screen, the Pixel Tablet makes Google Meet particularly enjoyable as it automatically adjusts lighting and offers HD video calling, ensuring users always look their best. Google’s focus on AI is evident in the Pixel Tablet, which boasts features like accurate voice typing, Magic Eraser, and Photo Unblur.

It is encouraging to see that Google has prioritized enhancing the Pixel Tablet’s media consumption experience. Google has collaborated closely with the Android team to optimize popular apps such as Disney+, Spotify, and others for improved visuals and ease of browsing on the device’s larger screen.

As the first tablet with a built-in Chromecast, the Pixel Tablet’s Hub Mode allows users to cast videos or music from their phone to the tablet and more. It also supports split-screen multitasking, enabling users to utilize multiple apps simultaneously.

The package includes a charging speaker dock that serves as a convenient storage spot for the tablet, charges the battery, and features a louder, richer speaker that is better suited for group listening compared to the built-in tablet speakers.

When you place the tablet on the dock during music playback or video streaming, the audio will smoothly transition to the dock’s speaker. Similarly, when you remove the tablet from the dock, the audio will instantly switch back to the tablet’s speakers.
