Zombie shooters are popular for many reasons, but Left 4 Dead (L4D) and its successor have shown that nothing can beat the fun of nailing the Special Infected in the head, playing with friends, or against them in the humans-versus-undead mode, working together to complete tasks for certain stages, and coming out of the carnage alive.
With Back 4 Blood arriving in October 2021, fans can get ready to round up all their gaming pals and delve back into a post-apocalyptic setting. The spiritual sequel to Valve’s hugely-popular hit will revisit a new-yet-familiar world torn apart by a worldwide outbreak, and is set to usher in mechanics that are largely similar to L4D. This time, the team is made up of veterans called Cleaners, with the newly-introduced Cards feature introducing more difficulty and variety into gameplay.
But before the rest of the gaming community can sink their hours into shooting the undead, a number of fans will be able to call first dibs on all the action. Geek Culture is offering 700 Early Access Open Beta Codes for owners of the PS4/PS5 (do note that these codes are to be redeemed on an Asia PSN account only).
The window for Early Access will run from 5 to 9 August, with the Open Beta to follow suit from 12 to 16 August. Refer to the map above for the exact roll-out times. For more details on the Open Beta, read the official FAQ here.
