This year is a huge one for Star Wars fans. In the lead-up to the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga with Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, a massive amount of Star Wars-themed toys and merch have been released, with the majority of those at Force Friday last week. Despite a number of them not being unveiled for fear of spoilers, there’s no denying it’s a good time to be a Star Wars fan.
But wait– it gets better. We’ve four words to describe that: Millennium Falcon Funko Pop.
Over the years, we’ve had quite a good number of Star Wars Funko Pop! vinyl figures. However, the Millennium Falcon 13” Funko Pop! Deluxe is by far the largest of the lot, and also arguably the most iconic. Special thanks to local Funko distributor Simply Toys for sending one across!
The timeless light freighter is suspended in midair by five plastic rods on part of the Death Star as a base, to give it the impression that it is in the heat of the action. It is detailed to a T, from the turret up top, the forward mandibles in front, and all the little chinks and grooves in the chassis made to ape the original model in all its glory.
And of course, how can we forget the bobble head of the equally-iconic Han Solo popping up from the cockpit?
It’s a shame that Chewbacca couldn’t fit inside, though. But here’s Chewy anyway, just for scale.
In any case, the Millennium Falcon 13” Funko Pop! Deluxe is out now in Singapore at all Simply Toys stores for S$129.90 (10% off for members). It will subsequently be released on October 21 on Amazon. Pre-orders are already up for US$64.99 on the Amazon US store, and S$113.10 on the Amazon SG store (with FREE delivery to Singapore for Prime members!).
Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
