Sporting a 50.3-megapixel main, a 50MP telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide camera, it may appear to be on equal ground with most high-end offerings, but there’s a catch. The S$1,699 device comes with a touch of the Leica magic, courtesy of a collaboration between the two brands, making it the perfect challenger to the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

On paper, the Xiaomi 13 Pro beats out the latter’s triple-camera system (48MP main, 12MP telephoto, and 12MP ultrawide). Don’t be too quick to dismiss Apple, though, as both phones put up a very close fight when pitted against each other in a shoot-out on the streets.

Check out the above video for a deep-dive into their respective photography prowess, in which the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Xiaomi 13 Pro were taken out for a spin in Chinatown, and tested on the capabilities of their portrait mode, close-up shots, and monochrome imaging.
