Despite being known as the superhero Batwing in DC Comics, Camrus Johnson’s Luke Fox in The CW’s Batwoman has been a supporting character thus far. However, all that’s about to change as he’s finally suiting up to be Batwing in the show’s upcoming second season.
Johnson took to Twitter to share a first look of the superhero and his feelings on becoming the first live-action Batwing in history. Thanks to the costume designs by Maya Mani, the Batwing suit is looking pretty accurate to its comic book counterpart, which shapes up to be a step in the right direction.
With the second season of Batwoman set to wrap up its last episodes, fans can expect to see Johnson’s Batwing in action pretty soon, decked out in his sleek-looking suit and all. The series has also been renewed for a third season, but little is known about it thus far.
According to showrunner Caroline Dries, however, Luke Fox’s Batwing journey will extend into the next season, so we’ll likely see a partnership between him and Batwoman. Fingers crossed!
